Protecting your private information is our priority. This Statement of Privacy applies to the www.sdpork.org and South Dakota Pork Producers Council and governs data collection and usage. For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, unless otherwise noted, all references to South Dakota Pork Producers Council include www.sdpork.org and SDPPC. The SDPPC website is a news and information site. By using the SDPPC website, you consent to the data practices described in this statement.
Collection of Your Personal Information
SDPPC may collect personally identifiable information, such as your name, telephone number, email address, occupation, etc. SDPPC may also collect anonymous demographic information, which is not unique to you, such as your age. We may gather additional personal or non-personal information in the future.
Information about your computer hardware and software may be automatically collected by SDPPC. This information can include but is not necessarily limited to your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times, cookie session IDs, basic location information, search history on the SDPPC website, and referring website addresses. This information is used for the operation of the service, to maintain quality of the service, and to provide general statistics regarding use of the SDPPC website.

SDPPC may keep track of the websites and pages our users visit within SDPPC, in order to determine what SDPPC services are the most popular. This data is used to deliver customized content and advertising within SDPPC to customers whose behavior indicates that they are interested in a particular subject area.

Notice to California Customers
Subject to the limitations under California Civil Code § 1798.83, if you are a California resident and have an established business relationship with SDPPC, you may ask us to provide you with a list of certain categories of personal information that we have disclosed to third parties for their direct marketing purposes during the immediately preceding calendar year. You may also request the identity of certain third parties that received your personal information from us for their direct marketing purposes during the immediately preceding calendar year. You may make a request as described hereinabove once a year.

To protect your personal information, SDPPC takes reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.
Children Under Thirteen
SDPPC does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of thirteen. If you are under the age of thirteen, you must ask your parent or guardian for permission to use this website.
How We Obtain Your Consent
When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, utilize our software, utilize our services, verify your credit card, place an order, etc., we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.
If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no.
